eBook Sales Trends

I’m having serious ISP issues this morning. SLOW.

Anyway, since I am not alone in the room, I get to use an old fashioned form of information technology while I wait for pages to load. It is called talking. Today we are talking about an eBook idea. I can’t really get into the topic, because if it interested you, your next move would probably be to go find an eBook that is already published.

So I hit the top item on a Google search for Ebook sales trends. It had a lot of superlatives. Now that it is loaded I see that it was published in 2004. It looks like 2004 was a great year to come out with an eBook. In that year, you could get an electronic version of The Da Vinci Code for $4.50 less than you would have paid for a hard copy. I can rent the DVD for 50 cents now, that way I won’t even have to read it.

Most news items about eBooks are actually press releases by the book publishers. This one about an SEO eBook has intrigued me. The fact that it was at the top of the page is promising.

I should mention in this post that my boundless devotion to putting quality posts in this blog will have to be put on the back burner while I do the drudgery of actually writing an eBook.
