Idea Litterbox
Yesterday, I posted an idea that I had and my blog received a visit from a guy whose blog has the same name as my idea. I thought that was very interesting. Whenever you think you have an original idea, you should do a bit of research to see if somebody is already running with the same idea. Depending on what the idea is, there may be room for more than one. Imagine what the Internet would be like if nobody bothered developing search engines after the first one was out of the gate.
The year after Rubik’s Cubes were all the rage, I spent a few days trying to build a prototype of a cube with four squares per side rather than nine. It was not long after that when I saw the exact item available in retail. Someone probably thought of it before I did. That was before the Internet.
