Politics Versus People
I am not an idiot. I know that when Michelle Obama recently reminisced about her early discouragement of Barack’s political ambitions and used the words these people are mean, she was launching a not so subtle dig at Hillary Clinton. I think that she has a point. Washington seems to have become a ‘win at all costs’ place in recent decades and the people who are best suited to that environment have gravitated there and flourished. Obama does seem to be substantively different than ‘those people’ and ‘those people’ might prevent him from changing the political landscape. Those people only have one vote each.
